rf-IVD

 

Wireless In-Vivo Dosimetry is now a reality with the rf-IVD™. Being 'wireless' solves one of the biggest issues facing any Patient Dosimetry system – cables lying across the treatment vault floor. Via radio frequency, the rf-IVD™ uses a wireless detector pod to communicate real-time dose information to a wall transponder (which is hard-wired to a control module.) No more cables are left lying on the treatment floor in danger of tangling or tripping patients or staff. The rf-IVD™ features three standard input channels and in the future can be expanded up to 39 channels for TBI cases.

The rf-IVD™ uses DIODES to deliver dose data in Real-Time, without the need to process disposable dosimeters after the treatment plan has finished. The rf-IVD™ is calibrated and operated using a compact Control Module that utilizes the simplest START/STOP operation available on the market. The rf-IVD™ also is the only patient dosimeter to automatically compensate for temperature fluctuations within the diode.

Applications
The rf-IVD™ is a three channel patient dosimeter used for real-time patient dose monitoring.
The rf-IVD™ can be expanded to 39 channels for TBI cases.
 

Two-Button Operation is Therapist Friendly
The rf-IVD™ is operated using a very simple START/STOP operation.
1. START measurement by selecting one of 9 energy keys.
2. Administer treatment plan.
3. Dose data is updated on the rf-IVD™ display in real time. Select STOP once plan is complete.

Automatic Temperature Corrections
The rf-IVD™ offers another unique innovation by allowing you to calibrate for temperature. Once calibrated for T, the system will automatically measure ambient temperature and apply a correction factor to the diode reading. The rf-IVD™ is the only patient dosimeter to do this.

User Interfaces via Control Module
The rf-IVD™ includes a Control Module which both calibrates the detectors and controls daily operation. (show picture)

Thermal Printer Included
The rf-IVD™ includes a compact thermal printer with direct interface to the Control Module.

Accuracy & Reproducablity
Using ISORAD-p™ or QED™ detectors, the rf-IVD™ is an exceptionally accurate and reproducible system.
