Iridium-192 Seeds in Ribbon Measurement

LDR IRIDIUM-192 Seeds in Ribbon SOURCES Measurement - Well Chamber Source Holders, SeeDOS Code 70034 and 70009

The LDR iridium seeds in ribbon source holder, code 70009, features a 3 mm diameter acrylic tube which extends from the top of the insert to the most active area of the HDR 1000 Plus Well Chamber. It makes one loop at the active area and extends back to the top of the insert. A collective calibration of the entire ribbon of seeds is obtained. Fourteen iridium seeds spaced one centimetre centre to centre fit into the active area.

The LDR Iridium seeds in ribbon source holder, code 70034, centres an intervascular source train in the active area of the IVB 1000 Well Chamber for measurement. Source holder collar is adjusted to accommodate the number of seeds in the source to be measured. Collar is adjustable to measure 6, 10, 14 18 or 22 seeds.
