Improve Radioactive Implant Seed/Strand Distribution by Immobilizing
the Prostate Gland During Transperineal "Seeding" Procedures.
A
unique, patented device designed to prevent movement of the prostate gland
while either applicator-compatible or pre-loaded seeding needles are being
inserted. Immobilisation is achieved by deploying a side barb in the prostate
tissue and securing a locking spring against the proximal side of the needle
template.The needles must be used in sets of two for proper stabilisation.
FEATURES INCLUDE:

Two-part hub separates, locking the side barb in position. Unlocking
is accomplished by pushing the two part hub back together.

The narrow side of the white, teardrop shaped hub indicates the
deployment position of the side barb and the orientation of the
needle point.

The needle point is exceptionally sharp, allowing easy penetration
of the perineum.

Each needle has an echogenic tip, providing accurate placement
under ultrasound guidance.
