PIPSpro Image Analysis Tools

Flexible zoom features control the size of image windows and the zoom factor of each displayed image. The magnifying lens can be easily adjusted for size and power.

The Information Desk provides a continuous reading of the cursor coordinates, the current pixel value, and the length of a vector in pixels and mm. Pixel values are displayed for both 8-bit and 16-bit images, and in dose units for dose-mapped images (with Dosimetry optional module)

The color palette can be selected to provide 256 scale black/white, white/black, or color look up tables (LUTs). Each of the rgb LUTs can be changed by the user, and there is full control over each individual value. LUTs can be saved and retrieved as required.

The EditTool permits the selection of contour and fiducial points in any image as well as line segments useful for template matching. Points can be added, deleted, moved, joined, re-ordered, saved and retrieved. The distance between points can also be displayed in pixels and mm. Contour points can also be determined by an automatic field edge detector, and shown as an overlay on the image when required.

Histograms are displayed for a whole image or a selected region, as differential or cumulative plots. Adjustable upper and lower bounds permit auto-scaling even in the presence of large peaks in the blacks or whites.

Treatment and reference images can be registered in order to evaluate treatment setup accuracy. Registration options include fiducial points, interactive templating, and automatic chamfer matching of points, templates or contours. Field displacements are displayed graphically as images of regret and quantitatively as translation and rotation errors. Treatment and reference images do not need to have the same magnification, center, or alignment.
