Following LDR iodine and palladium seed implantation for prostate cancer, patients may pass seeds during urination. A kit is now available for you to give to your patients to take home for safe storage of the LDR brachytherapy seeds. You no longer have to make the lead pouch, and assemble the components from various locations. This kit consists of a small
lead pouch, 0.2mm Pb equivalent, a urologic sieve, a small plastic vial for the seeds, cotton swabs, and patient instructions. The pouch provides safe storage of these LDR brachytherapy seeds and is only 2.75 by 5.5 inches when closed.

Use of the kit helps your medical centre comply with 10CFR regulations 35.406 and 20.2003.
The Seed Storage Pouch System, SeeDOS Code 90080 contains:
1. Lead Pouch, SeeDOS Code 90075.
2. Plastic Vial, SeeDOS Code 70070.
3. Plastic Urological Sieve, SeeDOS Code 70071.
Cotton swabs and instructions for the patient are included. When the seeds are in the sieve, they readily adhere to the cotton swabs for transfer to the plastic vial.
